An ASUS TUF RTX 4090 owner replaced factory paste with Honeywell PTM7950 phase change material and installed Thermal Grizzly putty instead of standard pads.
Under stock clocks in 3DMark Port Royal, the hotspot temperature dropped significantly from 103.1° down to 71.3°. The overall delta reached 31.8° with core temperatures dropping to 62.5° and memory cooling down to 66.0°.
Undervolting tests run in Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed high thermal efficiency, decreasing the peak hotspot from 84.1° to 59.5° while preserving the baseline 94 FPS completely.
